CALYN (CAT)

REGISTERED PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Hi there! My name is Calyn, but I usually go by Cat. I’m a new physio just getting started in my practice. My love of movement comes from a background of gymnastics and cheerleading, I also have experience working with and coaching recreational gymnastics. Learning to break down big skills into smaller tasks allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of movement, and adapting those skills to each athlete's needs challenged me even more. I learned about physiotherapy after a few of my own injuries, which introduced me to the rehabilitation process - and since that first experience, I knew what I wanted to do!

Working with young athletes led me to specialize in sports injuries and pediatric development. I have been able to experience many different types of pediatric therapy - neurological, developmental and orthopedics - although developmental pediatrics has a special place in my heart.

My hope is that everyone achieves the goals they are working towards, whether that’s returning to a favourite sporting activity, being able to pick up your little one, or a kiddo achieving their first independent step

Why Work With Me

I have a passion for helping people of all ages move with confidence to reach their goals.

I have a special interest in sport injuries and peadiatric development. I believe every treatment plan should be as unique as the person I’m working with.

Whether you’re getting back to the activities you love or are reaching a new milestone, I’m here to help every step of the way!

My Approach

With a warm smile and genuine kindness, I greet my patients, making them feel valued and at ease. I am here to listen and work together in developing a treatment plan that will work best for you. My approach to physiotherapy treatment is patient centred, focusing on understanding the specific needs and goals of each person. I prioritize keeping up with the latest evidence-based practice to optimize your recovery journey. I plan to commit to being a lifelong learner and continue learning and specializing as my career develops. You will find I am very compassionate and empathetic which fosters a strong therapeutic relationship, encouraging you to feel confident that you are in good hands.

When working with clients I love to emphasize creating a plan that works for you, one size does not fit all when it comes to recovery. Everyone has a better experience when treatment is tailored specifically for you and your lifestyle and goals
